Job description
I am working with a warm, inclusive and highly supportive special school and college for children and young people aged 4–19. We support learners with a wide range of special educational needs, including complex learning difficulties and Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Their approach is built around personalised learning, therapeutic support, and preparing every student for adulthood. We aim to create a safe, caring environment where every young person feels valued, respected, and able to succeed.
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed team.
You will:
- Support pupils in their learning, both individually and in small groups
- Help deliver engaging, personalised learning activities tailored to EHCP outcomes
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Support students in developing independence and life skills
About You
We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
- Patient, resilient, and positive in their approach
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Willing to learn and develop through ongoing training
- Experienced in education or care settings (desirable, not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
