Teaching Assistant – Flexible Day-to-Day & Long-Term Opportunities
Weymouth & Surrounding Areas | Immediate Start Available
Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a reliable and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support our partner primary schools in Weymouth and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is confident supporting both general classroom learning and 1:1 pupils, including children with additional needs.
You’ll begin with day-to-day supply, giving you the chance to experience different schools, build relationships, and find the right long-term role as opportunities arise.
The role:
- General classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Opportunities for 1:1 support with pupils who require additional guidance
- Assisting with learning activities, behaviour support and daily routines
- Working collaboratively with class teachers and wider school staff
- Day-to-day placements with the potential to move into longer-term roles
- Covering Weymouth and surrounding areas
We are looking for someone who:
- Is flexible, proactive and confident working in different school settings
- Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
- Can adapt between general TA duties and 1:1 support
- Is happy to travel to nearby schools for ongoing opportunities
- Has a calm, patient and positive approach to supporting children
- Is seeking a pathway into a longer-term position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
