Job description

Teaching Assistant – Specialist School | Bovington

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist school in Bovington that provides education and support for pupils with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Every day is different, and you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

We're looking for people who are:

  • Patient, resilient and caring.
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Confident working as part of a team.
  • Experienced in education, care or youth work (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
