1:1 Teaching Assistant – January Start (ASAP)
Position based in Southampton - educator would need to be able to drive and own means of transport.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team from January. This role involves working closely with a child who is non-verbal, providing consistent support to enable access to learning and encourage communication, engagement, and independence.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs and a secure understanding of phonics. You will work alongside the class teacher and wider support team to implement tailored strategies, adapt learning materials, and support the child both academically and socially throughout the school day.
We are looking for someone who is patient, observant, and proactive, with a calm and nurturing approach. The ability to build a positive, trusting relationship with the child is essential, as is a commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a meaningful difference. The role is to start as soon as possible in January.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
