Contract: Full-Time (Full Academic Year)
Salary: £90–£95 per day (Based on a 6.5-hour working day)

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a thriving, community-focused primary school seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 for the full academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in a welcoming and inclusive environment, helping them to build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small intervention groups.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Support pupils who require additional academic, emotional or behavioural support.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and personal development.
- Build strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), although this is desirable rather than essential.
- Is patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting children to succeed.
- Has strong communication skills and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Is looking for a fulfilling role for the full academic year.
Training & Development:
Whilst previous SEN experience is highly desirable, it is not essential. Teaching Personnel provides access to a range of professional development opportunities throughout the vetting process and beyond, including:

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants will be subject to:
- An enhanced DBS check (or be registered on the DBS Update Service).
- Two professional references.
- Right to Work checks.
- Verification of qualifications and employment history.
- A safeguarding interview in line with safer recruitment practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
