1:1 Teaching Assistants – Primary Schools
Location: Portsmouth
At Teaching Personnel, we’re looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils in welcoming primary schools across Portsmouth.
Portsmouth has a large and diverse school community. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives, providing dedicated 1:1 SEN support while helping pupils feel confident and included in their daily learning.
The Role
- Location: Primary schools across Portsmouth
- Pay: £13.75 per hour
- Contract: Full-time
- Start date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities available
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
- Assist teachers with general classroom activities and learning support
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of two years’ employment history
- Experience in education or working with children is desirable (but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
