Teaching Assistant – Year 2
Location: Oldham | Start Date: from September | Full-Time (8:30am–3:30pm)
Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Oldham, currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the academic and social development of children in Year 2. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a positive and engaging learning environment where every child has the chance to reach their full potential.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children, ideally within a school setting. However, experience in other childcare environments such as nurseries, sports coaching, playschemes, or residential care will also be considered.
- Possess a good understanding of the primary curriculum to effectively support classroom activities.
- Be passionate about education and committed to making a positive difference in pupils’ lives.
- Hold (or be willing to complete) a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification – training can be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
