Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision, Liverpool

A specialist provision in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support vulnerable students with a range of complex needs and learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to putting pupils’ welfare and safety first, while helping them achieve both personal and academic goals.

Role Details:

• Location: Liverpool
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm (Term-Time Only)
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Pay Rate: £11.85 – £12.87 per hour

About the Provision: Each pupil has an individual healthcare plan, and staff work closely with families to ensure the highest standard of care. There is a strong sense of trust between staff and parents, with open communication encouraged to ensure pupils remain the top priority.

The provision is housed in a two-storey building with excellent facilities including hydrotherapy pools, sensory gardens, play parks, and multi-use games areas. Staff are expected to support pupils both in and outside of the classroom environment.

Rated GOOD by Ofsted, the school benefits from a strong leadership team focused on helping students reach their full potential. Pupils also have access to off-site learning experiences at museums, safari parks, and leisure centres.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
