Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Gateshead
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Gateshead who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a nurturing school environment.

The Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide high-quality support to pupils across the school, including small-group and 1:1 interventions
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
• Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Have previous experience working in a primary school setting
• Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
• Show patience, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting children
• Be confident working independently and as part of a team
• Have knowledge of SEND and intervention strategies (desirable)
