Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join fantastic, welcoming, and supportive primary schools across the Doncaster area.

Whether you’re looking for full-time work, part-time hours, or a flexible role to fit around other commitments, we have a wide range of positions available with immediate or flexible start dates.

Role Responsibilities

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your key duties may include:

  • Supporting classroom teachers with day-to-day learning
  • Working with individuals or small groups to support learning and progress
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN support
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Supporting with preparation and supervision of activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Qualifications & Experience

We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified TAs. The following are desirable/essential:

Essential

  • Previous experience supporting primary-aged children
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Desirable

  • TA qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND
