EYFS Teaching Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant seeking employment in the DN4 area from April. The role is to provide general classroom support on a full-time basis in a EYFS class, with added responsibility of delivering interventions with small groups of children & booster sessions to help raise their age-related expectations particularly in Reading and Writing.

Start date – April
Pay - £68 - £80

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering tailored learning activities and providing learning support to individuals and small groups of children across the curriculum
• Engaging, motivating and encouraging learners
• Supporting children’s social and emotional development
• Assisting the Class Teacher in managing behaviour
• Effectively feeding back
• Record keeping and administrative tasks, such a preparing resources
• Creating classroom displays

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
• Child workforce DBS on update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
• Recent, successful teaching assistant experience
• Pro-active, hard-working and committed to making a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
