SEN Primary School Teaching Assistant – Bury
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Bury. You will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them access learning and develop key communication, social and emotional skills.
Key Responsibilities
-
Support the delivery of inclusive, differentiated lessons
-
Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs
-
Build strong relationships to encourage engagement and confidence
-
Assist with EHCP targets, learning plans and early intervention strategies
-
Encourage independence, communication and positive behaviour
-
Support personal care and sensory needs when required
-
Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and SEN guidance
Essential Requirements
-
Experience working with children, ideally within SEN or primary education
-
A nurturing, patient and adaptable approach
-
Full-time availability during school hours
-
Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive practice
-
Ability to work effectively within a school support team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
