Teaching Assistant
Job description
I am seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. This rewarding role involves working closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils in achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The successful candidate will help create a positive learning environment, provide individual and small-group support, and contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in classroom activities and learning programmes.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching resources and classroom organisation.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Support pupils with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where appropriate.
What We Are Looking For
- A positive, patient, and caring approach to working with children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
