Early Years Teaching Assistant

Full Time
Academic Year Role (September 2026 – July 2027)
£95 – £105 per day PAYE
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bedford is looking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. You'll be supporting pupils within the Early Years setting, helping to deliver engaging learning experiences and ensuring children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
The school is part of a respected multi-academy trust, providing excellent staff support, shared expertise, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Your Responsibilities:
• Support children throughout the Early Years provision
• Assist with learning through play, exploration, and structured activities
• Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence
• Work alongside teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality provision
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment
Essential Job Requirements:
• Experience working with children is desirable
• Understanding of EYFS principles would be advantageous
• Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting children's development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
