Early Years Teaching Assistant

Full Time
Academic Year Role (September 2026 – July 2027)
£95 – £105 per day PAYE

A friendly and nurturing primary school in Bedford is looking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support their Reception class for the full academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping children develop the confidence, independence, and foundational skills they need to flourish throughout their education.

The school is part of a successful multi-academy trust, providing excellent support, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative team environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support children within the Early Years classroom and provision areas
• Assist with learning through play and structured activities
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure all children reach their potential

Essential Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• Knowledge of EYFS principles would be advantageous
• Positive, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Genuine passion for supporting young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
