Teaching Assistant – Barry (Vale of Glamorgan)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm

Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping shape their educational journey?
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Barry area.

No Professional Experience? No Problem!

If you’ve supported children in any capacity—sports coaching, care work, youth groups, or even within your family—we’d love to hear from you. Full guidance and support are provided.


Role Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day

✨ Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment

Build a strong working rapport with the student

Deliver constructive and accessible feedback on their work

️ Encourage child-led learning

⏳ Support pupils with a range of additional needs (including Autism, ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, and others)

Assist in managing challenging behaviour with patience and positivity

What Teaching Personnel Can Offer:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
