Teaching Assistant Job – Cwmbran Secondary School

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Cwmbran, supporting both mainstream pupils and those within an SEN base. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain or develop experience in a school setting, particularly within special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, including SEN students
- Encourage students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (valid passport or birth certificate)
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – required in Wales (we can assist)
