Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
Position: MFL Teacher (French / Spanish / German )
Contract: Full-time
Salary: From £170 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our dedicated and forward‑thinking MFL department. This role is ideal for a passionate linguist who is committed to inspiring students and promoting a love of languages across the school.
You will deliver high‑quality teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, contributing to strong outcomes and helping students develop confidence, cultural awareness, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high‑quality, engaging MFL lessons (French / Spanish / German).
- Plan and deliver creative schemes of work that motivate and stretch learners.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure strong outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and resources.
- Support enrichment activities such as clubs, trips, and cultural events.
- Create an inclusive classroom where all students feel supported and valued.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive improvement.

- Maintains a non‑selective admissions policy, welcoming pupils from a broad range of backgrounds.

- Provides a wide‑ranging GCSE curriculum, giving students access to a broad set of academic and vocational pathways.

- Identified SEND provision specialising in Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), ensuring tailored support for pupils requiring additional assistance
- Events included reunions, historical reflections, and partnerships with former staff, students, and local organisations, showcasing the school’s commitment to fostering belonging and tradition.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is a qualified teacher (ECT or experienced) with strong subject knowledge.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and high expectations.
- Is passionate about languages and committed to promoting cultural understanding.
- Has the ability to teach at least one language to GCSE (preferably two).
- Is reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
