Rate of Pay: From £165 per day

The Role
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive secondary school in Preston to appoint a passionate and engaging Geography Teacher to join the school from September.
You will become part of a successful Humanities department, where Geography plays a key role in helping students understand the world, explore global issues and develop strong analytical and enquiry skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, delivering creative and engaging lessons.
- Differentiate effectively to support and challenge learners of varying abilities.
- Support students’ GCSE preparation through high‑quality teaching, assessment and feedback.
- Contribute positively to the ongoing development of the Humanities curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment in line with the school’s ethos.
- Take part in fieldwork opportunities, enrichment activities and cross‑curricular learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography.
- Confident classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management skills.
- Reflective, proactive and committed to professional development.
- Willing to support and promote the Catholic values of the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
