Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bedford that is seeking a passionate Teacher of Geography to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time position initially running until December 2026, with the possibility of being extended for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Geography teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that develop curiosity about the world and encourage students to think critically about global issues. The school has a supportive Humanities department, excellent leadership, and a strong focus on staff development.
The Role
- Full-time Geography Teacher
- Teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable but not essential)
- Planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Working collaboratively within a successful Humanities department
- September 2026 start
- Initially until December 2026 with the opportunity for extension
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Specialises in Geography or a related Humanities subject
- Has strong classroom management skills
- Is committed to raising student achievement and engagement
- Can build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
