Food & Nutrition Teacher – Full-Time Temporary Position
Are you an enthusiastic and inspiring Food & Nutrition Teacher who is passionate about equipping young people with essential life skills and promoting healthy lifestyles? Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Food & Nutrition Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Milton Keynes on a full-time temporary basis from September 2026 until the end of the Autumn term, with the potential for the role to continue until January 2027.

The Role
- Deliver high-quality Food & Nutrition lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
- Prepare students for GCSE Food & Nutrition assessments and examinations.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging practical and theoretical lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
- Establish high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic success within the classroom.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school community.
Skills and Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching Food & Nutrition or Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
- Experience preparing students for GCSE Food & Nutrition qualifications.
- Strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Confidence delivering both practical cooking sessions and classroom-based theory lessons.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A passion for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and learning.
- Commitment to supporting all students to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to travel to Milton Keynes and reliably commute to the school each day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
