Food & Nutrition Teacher – Full-Time Temporary Position

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Food & Nutrition Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Milton Keynes on a full-time temporary basis from September 2026 until the end of the Autumn term, with the potential for the role to continue until January 2027.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality Food & Nutrition lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
• Prepare students for GCSE Food & Nutrition assessments and examinations.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging practical and theoretical lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
• Establish high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic success within the classroom.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students can thrive.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school community.

Skills and Experience Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching Food & Nutrition or Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Experience preparing students for GCSE Food & Nutrition qualifications.
• Strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Confidence delivering both practical cooking sessions and classroom-based theory lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A passion for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and learning.
• Commitment to supporting all students to achieve their full potential.
• Ability to travel to Milton Keynes and reliably commute to the school each day.
