Salary: £32,916 – £51,047 (MPS / UPS)

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school seeking an inspiring and committed Teacher of Fine Art to join their creative and forward‑thinking department from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well‑resourced Art department, delivering engaging and imaginative learning experiences that encourage creativity and confidence. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing student talent while promoting high standards and strong outcomes.
The Role
As a Teacher of Fine Art, you will deliver high‑quality lessons across a range of artistic disciplines, supporting students to develop both technical skills and creative expression.
You will work closely with a collaborative team to plan curriculum delivery, monitor progress, and contribute to a vibrant creative culture within the school.
What You Will Do
- Deliver engaging Fine Art lessons across a range of specialisms
- Plan creative and inclusive lessons for students of all abilities
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting teaching accordingly
- Support curriculum development and share best practice within the department
- Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student outcomes
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
- Engage with school events, CPD, and wider school life
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
- Degree in Fine Art or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines
- Ability to deliver engaging and creative lessons
- Commitment to high standards and student achievement
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
