Contract: Full-time

Pay Rate: From £165 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a successful and well‑established department. This role is ideal for an inspiring educator who can deliver engaging, imaginative lessons and support students in developing creativity, technical skill, and confidence in their artistic ability.

You will teach Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to explore visual expression, experiment with materials, and think critically about their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create an inclusive, stimulating, and visually inspiring classroom environment
  • Use effective assessment to track progress and support student development
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and shared departmental resources
  • Inspire creativity, visual literacy, and artistic confidence
  • Support school exhibitions, enrichment opportunities, and wider school activities

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has strong subject knowledge with enthusiasm for Art & Design
  • Has the Ability to engage, motivate, and challenge learners of all abilities
  • Has Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Is commited to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Has a DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
