Location: Tameside
Job Type: Day -to- Day Supply Teaching Assistants
Salary: £13.75- £14.50 per hour
Start date: January 2026
About the role:
- Support the class teacher throughout the day, monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing regular feedback.
- Deliver high-quality interventions and activities in small groups or one-to-one sessions to reinforce learning and build confidence.
- Promote and uphold the school’s ethos, ensuring behaviour and safeguarding policies are consistently applied.
- Help create an inclusive, positive learning environment where every child, regardless of need or ability, can achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone who:
- Experience working with children, either in a professional or personal capacity, ideally with exposure to SEMH or additional needs.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant Certificate)
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum across different Key Stages.
- Proactive, adaptable and resilient, with excellent communication skills and high expectations for all learners.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
