We are looking for a SENCO for a 'Good' Ofsted Secondary school in the Christchurch area.

The school is recruiting a dynamic, forward-thinking SENCO to work under the direction of and to support the Assistant Head for Inclusion and SEND. This post will be pivotal in our quest to move our school from 'good to outstanding'. Staff and students take pride in working and attending this school. The school is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic SENCO to join the strong, dynamic happy team of SEN specialists starting in September. The Headteacher is seeking someone with a strong background in SEN and education, someone with solid knowledge as well as leadership qualities.

As the SENCO you will be expected to lead and manage all areas of SEN from liaising with Exec Head, Directors of Learning, LEA Staff parents, and many others.

Location: Christchurch

Position: SENCO

Main responsibility: Leading the SEN department Contract or position

start date: September 2022

Contract: Full time Salary: Main Scale/UPS + SEN allowance

What we will require:

  • BEd / PGCE / QTS or equivalent teaching degree
  • SENCO Experience   
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
