Supply Teacher
Job description
We are seeking reliable and adaptable Supply Teachers to provide high‑quality cover across the school as required. This role is ideal for enthusiastic teachers who enjoy flexibility while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Supply Teachers will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning during staff absence and will be expected to create a positive, well‑managed classroom environment.
Location: Burnley
Contract: Supply / Flexible / Day‑to‑day and short‑term opportunities /Adhoc
Salary: £120 - £160 per day
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing – flexible around you
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Support pupils to stay on task and engaged with learning
- Provide feedback to teaching staff where required
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching within a primary and/or secondary setting
- Be flexible, professional and confident in different classroom environments
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Adapt quickly to new settings and routines
- Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
