Sports Coach – Teaching Assistant Role – WN4 School
Location: WN4, Wigan
Role: Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time & Part-time available
Are you a Sports Coach looking to move into a school-based role? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a welcoming school in WN4, using your coaching skills to support pupils both in and out of the classroom.
The Role
-
Supporting pupils’ learning as a Teaching Assistant
-
Using sports and physical activity to engage and motivate children
-
Supporting behaviour management and positive attitudes to learning
-
Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support
-
Assisting with PE lessons, break/lunch activities and enrichment sessions
-
Promoting teamwork, confidence and resilience through sport

About You

Background in sports coaching, mentoring or youth work

Coaching qualifications desirable but not essential
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sports Coach to bring their skills into education and make a real difference to pupils’ engagement, wellbeing and achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
