About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work within a Special Resource Base (SRB) in a school based in Canton (CF11).
This role involves supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access education and develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with ALN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and communication needs
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people (ALN/SEN desirable)
- Patient, caring and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant, CACHE) – desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
