About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work within a Special Resource Base (SRB) in a school based in Canton (CF11).

This role involves supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access education and develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with ALN
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and communication needs
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children or young people (ALN/SEN desirable)
• Patient, caring and resilient attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant, CACHE) – desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)
