Spanish Teacher (maternity cover)

Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire

 

A happy, friendly and inclusive secondary school with consistent “Good” Ofsted inspection ratings is seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis!

 

The Role

  • To plan, develop and deliver high quality lessons and courses within the broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated subject curriculum using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning
  • To monitor pupil progress, keeping pupil records that include assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals, in line with school policy, to enable all pupils to achieve their full potential
  • To maintain and build upon the teachers’ standards
  • Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience as a KS3 and KS4 Spanish teacher, showing outstanding classroom practice
  • Confident and adaptable in the classroom, with excellent behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
  • Genuine enthusiasm for educating young people

 

Working Hours

  • Full time
  • Monday-Friday
  • Term-time only
  • Temporary contract (maternity cover)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
