Job description

SEN Tutor – Thame, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire

£20–£30 per hour | Flexible hours | 

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors based in or around Thame to deliver high-quality, personalised tuition across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

This role is ideal for tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with additional needs and making a genuine impact on their education and confidence.

The Role

You will provide 1:1 tuition for students with Special Educational Needs, including:

  • ASD

  • ADHD

  • Dyslexia

  • SEMH and related needs

Students range from EYFS to Post-16, and we welcome tutors who are confident working with any part of this age range.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing individual learning needs and starting points

  • Planning and delivering tailored schemes of work

  • Adapting lessons to suit each learner

  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback

Tutoring will be in Maths and/or English.

Requirements

You must:

  • Hold QTS or have a minimum of 3 years tutoring experience

  • Have proven experience working with SEN students

  • Be confident in planning and delivering personalised tuition

  • Be reliable, patient, and professional

  • Be able to travel across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
