Job description

We are currently looking for experienced, passionate tutors to support primary and secondary aged pupils with one-to-one tuition.

Our pupils are referred through schools and Local Authorities, and many may have experienced gaps in education. As such, we are seeking tutors who are patient, caring, adaptable, and confident in tailoring lessons to meet individual needs.

  • Maths

  • English

  • Science (and other subjects as required)

Tuition Locations

  • Pupils’ homes

  • Online

  • School settings

Hours

  • Referrals typically range from 10–15 hours per week per pupil

  • Tutors looking for more regular or near full-time work may take on 2–3 pupils

The Ideal Tutor Will Be:

  • Experienced in tutoring or teaching primary and/or secondary pupils

  • Passionate about supporting young people to re-engage with learning

  • Patient, nurturing, and confident working with pupils who may lack confidence

  • Flexible and able to adapt lessons to suit individual learning levels and needs

  • Reliable, professional, and well-organised

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons

  • Record attendance for each session

  • Complete daily lesson summaries

  • Set and review learning targets with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
