SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Start Date: ASAP
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in inclusive and supportive SEND schools across Taunton, Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Role Overview

Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex needs

Work across primary and secondary SEND settings
-
Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning and behaviour support
-
Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
-
Collaborate with experienced teachers and support staff
Full preparation is provided, including a meet-and-greet and a trial day before placement.
Candidate Requirements

A genuine interest in supporting children with SEND
-
Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
-
Experience in education, care, or support work is desirable but not essential
-
Commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development
Position Details

Contract: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

Pay: £90–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
