SEND Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes
Location: Milton Keynes
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible options available)
Salary: £92.63-£100 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to work with supportive schools in Milton Keynes area. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with additional needs, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support classroom activities and adapt learning materials where necessary
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress
- Support behaviour management strategies
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEND (in a school or care setting preferred)
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Safeguarding: We require minimum 2 references covering 24 months of employment and a clear Child Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
