Job description

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield 
Contract: Supply (short-term/long-term assignments with permanent opportunities)  
Salary: Competitive daily rate depending on experience (£95-115)

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in the Sheffield area. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in full-time or part-time positions, with roles set to begin ASAP and continue through to the end of the academic year.

 

The Role:

  • Long-term, full-time and/or part-time positions available, starting immediately.
  • Ensuring high-quality support to help all pupils reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating alongside teachers and support staff to ensure a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment  
  • The role will involve various TA duties, including full classroom support, small-group work, and 1:1 assistance.
  • Supporting children with various SEND, such as autism, ADHD, PMLD, SEMH, sensory and communication needs. 

Requirements:

  • Patient, resilient, caring character!
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide at least two professional references that cover the last two working years

 All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
