SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 6 (Challenging Behaviour)
Primary

A primary school in Northallerton is seeking a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with challenging behaviour.

Location: Northallerton
Start: ASAP 
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 6)

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil

  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour

  • Implement behaviour support plans consistently

  • Support learning and emotional regulation

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents

We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour

  • Calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships

  • Committed to helping pupils succeed academically and socially

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
