SEND Teaching Assistant (Primary) – Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Milton Keynes, MK6
Salary: 92.63-100 per day
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team in Milton Keynes, working with primary-aged pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to staff
- Promote independence and confidence in all learners
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
