SEN Learning Support Assistant

  • Full- time, Monday to Friday
  • Working hours 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • ‘Good’ Primary School in Accrington
  • Competitive rate of £10 - £12.50 per hour
  • SEND experience within the education sector required

Due to a gap in staffing, a reputable Primary School in Accrington are looking to source an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will commence Feburary 2022 and will initially run until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend further. You would be working on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday) across Key Stage 1 and 2. The successful candidate should have experience of working within the education sector and should be confident in supporting children with varying additional needs. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you would provide additional aid in lessons whilst also working to ensure that pupils can develop their independence and confidence. The school are looking to employ someone with SEN experience, experience working with ASD may be advantageous, but this is not a necessity.

The Primary School is situated in the centre of Burnley and is two-form entry. The school has a supportive and long standing SLT who encourage staff to undertake a variety of CPD courses throughout the academic year.To be considered for the role, you must be passionate about the wellbeing and safety of children. Working with children with SEN is very challenging but also very rewarding, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their career in the sector.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
