SEND Learning Support Assistant –Tiverton

Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring and committed SEND Learning Support Assistants to work closely with individual pupils in supportive schools across Tiverton and the surrounding areas.

Role: SEND Learning Support Assistant
Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm

As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs throughout the school day
• Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs and learning style
• Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
• Promote independence, engagement, and confidence in learning
• Support emotional wellbeing, communication, and behaviour regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support staff to ensure consistent support

We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
• Transferable experience (e.g. care, youth work, psychology, mentoring, family SEND experience)
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine desire to support pupils and develop within education
