Class Teacher – Specialist (SEND) School

Full time: Monday to Friday (Part time roles available)

Long term supply (Transition to permanent role available)

Pay: £150 – 190 per day (Dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and patient teacher with a commitment to supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a teacher to join a specialist school in Sheffield, working with students who have a range of complex needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an adaptable and compassionate teacher who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment and is committed to making a real difference.

About the Role:

  • Full-time class teacher role within a specialist school for pupils with a variety of SEND, including Autism and complex learning needs.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team of teaching assistants and therapists to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Foster a positive, and caring classroom environment that encourages progress and independence.
  • Roles set to start sporadically throughout the academic year, with some to start ASAP.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • Experience working with students with SEND and complex needs.
  • Patient, creative, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a reflective and resilient mindset.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
