Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in a young person’s life?
Do you have the patience, creativity and enthusiasm to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated, engaging and supportive tutors to work with primary and secondary age students across the Gloucestershire area. Tuition may take place:

  • Online
  • In the student’s home
  • In a public space such as a library

Our students have varying SEN needs, so we are seeking tutors who are understanding, adaptable, and able to build strong, positive relationships with both learners and their families.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome tutors who can offer support in:

  • English
  • Maths

But most importantly, we value tutors who are:

  • Patient
  • Enthusiastic
  • Empathetic
  • Confident in adapting teaching styles
  • Skilled at building rapport and trust

If you’re committed to helping young people grow in confidence and achieve their full potential, you’ll fit right in.

Availability

We are seeking tutors who can offer:

  • At least 10–15 hours per week
  • Full‑time tutors would typically support 2–3 pupils on their timetable

Expectations

Tutors will be required to:

  • Log attendance daily
  • Confidently follow safeguarding procedures
  • Complete a lesson summary after each session
  • Provide consistent, reliable and high‑quality support

Pay Rate

£25–£30 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
