SEN 1:1 Tutor Required – Ely Area
Empower Young People with Additional Needs to Reach Their Full Potential
Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to pupils across the Ely area. Tuition sessions take place in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours.
This rewarding opportunity involves working with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Speech and Language needs, and other learning difficulties. Many pupils may be out of mainstream education or require tailored support to help them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), where applicable.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
- Plan engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum while accommodating individual learning styles.
- Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and local authorities to support each pupil's educational journey.
We Are Looking For
- A minimum of two years' UK teaching experience is essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school, tutoring, or specialist educational setting.
- A strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive learning strategies.
- Qualified teachers or experienced tutors with excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and compassionate individuals who are committed to making a lasting difference.
- A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
