SEN Tutor
Job description
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic tutors to support students across Didcot who require alternative or supplementary education provision.
This is a highly rewarding role suited to tutors who can think creatively, adapt quickly, and build trust with pupils who may not thrive in mainstream settings.
Subjects Required
✔ Maths
✔ English
✔ Tutors able to teach both are particularly encouraged to apply
Tuition Delivery
Sessions can take place:
- At home
- In schools
- In agreed public spaces
- Via online learning platforms
Essential Requirements
We are looking for tutors who:
- Can commit to at least 10–15 hours weekly
- Have experience with SEN, SEMH, EBSA, or pupils with complex educational needs
- Are able to monitor student progress carefully through reports and assessments
- Can engage learners when traditional academic methods are not effective
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
