Job description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for dedicated, compassionate SEN Tutors to support secondary-aged pupils who are currently out of education for a variety of reasons.

About the Role:
You will provide personalised, 1:1 tuition to students with a range of special educational needs. Teaching will predominantly take place in the pupil’s home, but may also be delivered online, in school settings, or in local libraries, depending on each referral.

Key Details:

  • Typical referrals: 10–15 hours per pupil per week (occasionally fewer hours)

  • Flexible schedule based on pupil needs

  • Work closely with other professionals supporting the young person

  • Accurate attendance reporting and progress logging are essential

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEN

  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach

  • Be able to teach Maths & English
  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, tailored learning sessions

  • Reliable and organised, with a commitment to safeguarding

Locations:
We are recruiting tutors across Bracknell, Wokingham, and surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
