Job Title: SEN Tutor 1:1 Maths and English
Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham
Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored 1:1 tutoring in Maths and English to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Deliver engaging lessons to support students' academic progress and development
- Assess students' learning progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with students with SEN, particularly in Maths and English
- Strong understanding of SEN support strategies and best practises
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar tutoring role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum for Maths and English
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills to plan and deliver effective tutoring sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialist SEN qualification
- Additional training in specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia or dyscalculia

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
