Have you recently graduated in Criminology?

Are you passionate about starting a career in teaching or educational criminology?

Teaching personnel present a fantastic opportunity for criminology graduates to gain valuable experience supporting children in schools.

Our client primary school based in Birmingham is looking for a knowledgeable criminology teaching assistant to support across several year groups from September.

Our client school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and offers exceptional professional opportunities for teaching assistants to practice their knowledge of child development and SEN.

Within this role, you will use your specialist knowledge to provide targeted one-to-one learning provision to students with additional needs. You will be knowledgeable in mild and complex Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD and dyslexia and be able to effectively support these students throughout their learning journey. You will collaborate with class teachers and other specialists such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists and SENDco to design and implement individualised learning plans.

Teacher requirements:

  • 2:2 or above in criminology or a related degree.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Good knowledge of SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
