About The School:
The school is a successful and innovative school nestled in a peaceful, green location, well-established within the community. With a small student body of just 75 pupils aged 11 to 19, the school is a place where every child is known and supported to thrive. They offer a nurturing environment equipped with excellent facilities, including a state-of-the-art Hydrotherapy Pool and changing facilities (opened in September 2018), an immersive theatre, a sensory suite, extensive ICT resources, and autism-friendly bases in each classroom.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a wide range of needs, including complex learning difficulties, communication and sensory needs, autism, ADHD, and varying health conditions. Your role will be to ensure that each child’s needs are met with kindness, care, and consideration, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized support to students with complex learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory needs, autism, ADHD, and various health conditions.
- Assist in the implementation of individualized learning plans and sensory activities tailored to each student’s needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize the school’s specialized facilities, including the Hydrotherapy Pool, sensory suite, and autism-friendly bases, to support students’ development and well-being.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them to feel valued and understood.

- Experience working with children or young people with complex learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, or sensory needs is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
