Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term Time Only)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role
We are seeking a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
