Sen Teaching Assistant

Pay: £130 - £140 per day

We are working closely with a fantastic specialist setting in Royston, supporting pupils with Autism and a range of additional learning needs. They are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a SEND LSA, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils feel safe, confident and engaged in their learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with Autism and associated needs
• Helping pupils to access learning and develop their independence
• Providing encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional development
• Building trusting relationships with pupils and understanding their individual needs
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff to provide consistent, personalised support
• Supporting with classroom routines and, where required, personal care

Previous experience working with Autism is highly desirable, but it's not all about having the perfect CV. If you have the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for supporting young people, we'd love to hear from you.
