Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications) + £1,000 Welcome Bonus*
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist education team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

About the School
We are a specialist independent day school supporting students aged 6-19 with a range of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Complex medical needs
- Sensory and physical impairments

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in their learning, personal development and wellbeing.
- Assist learners across a variety of educational settings, including classrooms, outdoor learning environments and community-based activities.
- Help students achieve individual education and personal development goals.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interactions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful and supportive learning environment.
- Support students with personal care and physical intervention when required and in line with training provided.
- Adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.

About You

- Educated to at least Level 2 (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Desirable
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, autism or complex needs.
- A background in education, care, youth work or support work.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
