SEN Nurture Teacher – Immediate Start Available
SEN Secondary School | Redhill
A welcoming and well-established SEN secondary school in Redhill is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Nurture Teacher to join their supportive team on a full-time basis. Working Hours
Monday to Friday | 8:15am – 4:45pm
As part of a caring and collaborative school community, you will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum to secondary-aged students within a nurture setting. You will teach a range of subjects including English, Maths, Art, Food Technology, and other foundation subjects, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of learners with Special Educational Needs.
The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects to secondary-aged students

Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development

Support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including those who may display challenging behaviours

Develop positive relationships with students to encourage engagement, confidence, and independence

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral staff, and senior leaders to support student outcomes

Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required

Promote positive behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques
About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Previous experience working within an SEN setting is essential

Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged students

Confident delivering a range of curriculum subjects, including English and Maths
-
Strong understanding of SEND and effective strategies to support learners with additional needs

Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, and mental health needs

Calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour management
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people
